Patti Jones
I haven't really known what to say about Mr. Trautwein. He was a fixture at Blind Brook like no other. Never afraid to go out on a limb and be a little nutty. I was not the musical prodigy that many of you were, but I always enjoyed being a part of any concert or production that Mr. Trautwein led. It made me feel that I belonged somewhere at a time in our lives when belonging meant so much. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in Concert Choir, Choir, to travel to England and North Carolina. I believe I wrote my college essay about our trip to England! As an adult I have come to learn what an incredibly unique high school community we had. We all grew up together from kindergarten straight through high school - I don't know many people that have this unique bond to the days of their childhood as we all seem to have. How lucky we are. I cannot help but wonder what Mr. Trautwein would think of Facebook today. He'd probably be appalled that kids today spend so much time on Facebook, but as long as it's paying tribute to him, I guess it would be okay.
