I haven't belonged to a choir in a long time (and this is making me think seriously about changing that) but for the past six years, I've had the honor of chanting the Kol Nidre in our congregation. Every time I pull the music out and start to rehearse, I hear George in my head and I stand up a little straighter and make sure I'm really enunciating those final T's.
That moment, every year, brings holiness into my life, and I would never have been able to do it without George's training - and his belief in me.
