I’ve been so touched by all of your eloquent words. I’m having a hard time trying to find the right words myself. But seeing all of your names and reading your posts takes me right back to that special place where we all went to school. Now that I’m a Father, if my son can have half the experience that I had at Blind Brook-the friends, the teachers and especially the caring wonderful teacher and person that Mr. Trautwein was, then I know he’d have a hell of a start on his life’s journey.

I didn’t attend Blind Brook H.S and I never knew George Trautwein personally but I never dreamed of missing a performance that my brother Jimmy (Berger) was in. My parents and I loved every minute. It is evident by this tribute how loved he was by all of you and the tremendous influence he had on your lives. Though the years I have heard so many wonderful stories and often envied my brother for having the life long ties that you all have because of this one incredible man. How lucky our community was to have him as a teacher in our school.
