Lisa Michaels-Bresner

Lisa Michaels-Bresner

As my son's middle school is performing "Anything Goes" this upcoming weekend (he, alas, is not a part of it) - I can't help remembering being an "Angel"in that show and a "Hotbox Dancer" in Guys and Dolls wearing my fishnets and tap shoes while learning to dance to the choreography of Mrs. Sweeney. How funny was the relationship between Mr. Trautwein and Mrs. Sweeney - I can still hear him yelling in his clipped, loud tone "Mrs. Sweeney!" numerous times at our rehearsals. He only addressed me (and many others) as "hootchy koo" or "Gabby" when I was chatty and I'm not sure he ever used my real first name - but I didn't care. I had the privilege of going to Italy, NC and Canada with the concert choir and I often think of how amazing those trips were and what an incredible experience he gave to all of us who were fortunate enough to participate. Memories like singing in the lobby of the Chateau Frontenac, that incredible church in Italy or that school we visited in NC - priceless! Thanks to everyone for all the great memories and thank you Mr. Trautwein, you will be missed but never forgotten!
